The control loop circuitry uses a rapid prototype board so that the control loop parameters can be changed for experimentation.
The floating bridge provides for rotating wheels which allow movement of the guitar strings as they change in tension but which also have sufficient mass to provide termination of the vibrating wire.
The potentiometers are positioned before the motors but after the nonlinear springs so that the nonlinear springs provide an amplification of movement with respect to tension.
